The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,771.58), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Meadows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Grand Canal, Venice, Before The Fall of The Tower; And Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,030.50).
