Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Louvain Basin, Boulogne by William Lee-Hankey was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,092.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lee-Hankey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Girl in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 84,208.88).

Die Arbeit The Louvain Basin, Boulogne von William Lee-Hankey kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.092,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lee-Hankey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Goose Girl im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 84.208,88).
