Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Honfleur by William Lee-Hankey was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,138.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lee-Hankey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Girl in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 84,208.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Honfleur von William Lee-Hankey kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.138,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lee-Hankey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Goose Girl im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 84.208,88).
