Auction result well in line with expectations
The work William Kentridge: Stereoscope (Exhibition Poster) by William Kentridge was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of GBP 701.25 (€ 791.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kentridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).
