Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Joseph and Pharoah? by William James Webbe was sold in the Victorian and Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,540.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Webbe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White Owl. 'Alone and warming his five wits, The white owl in the belfry sits' in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 589,250.00 (€ 726,708.90).
'Alone and warming his five wits, The white owl in the belfry sits' im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 589.250,00 (€ 726.708,90).
