In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Divorce changed hands for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Holbrook Beard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bears Picnic in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Holbrook Beard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bears Picnic im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16).
