Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A cow in a landscape; and A cow by the water's edge by William Frederick Hulk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 703.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Frederick Hulk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cow in a landscape; and A cow by the water's edge von William Frederick Hulk zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 703,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Frederick Hulk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.250,00.
