Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A drover herding cattle on a country track by William Frederick Hulk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,031.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Frederick Hulk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A drover herding cattle on a country track von William Frederick Hulk zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.031,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Frederick Hulk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.250,00.
