Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cattle grazing in pasture; and Another similar by William Frederick Hulk was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,629.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Frederick Hulk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 5,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cattle grazing in pasture; and Another similar von William Frederick Hulk im Februar 2002 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 998,75 (€ 1.629,86) den Besitzer.
