Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rustic dwellings by William Fraser Garden was sold in the British Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,544.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Fraser Garden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodland scene at twilight in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,947.85).
