Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Fraser Garden could be acquired at Christies in New York in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work Old Houses near Cambridge changed hands for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,234.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Fraser Garden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodland scene at twilight in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,947.85).
