Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior I by William Francis Robinson was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2002. The price achieved of AUD 8,225.00 (€ 4,984.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Francis Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Back Creek Gorge to the Coomera in May 2002 with an auction result of AUD 305,500.00 (€ 185,151.52).
