This artwork by William Dyce achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction, the work Glen Rosa, Isle Of Arran sold for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 37,783.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Dyce achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Welsh Landscape With Two Women Knitting in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 654,411.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Dyce erzielte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation wurde die Arbeit Glen Rosa, Isle Of Arran für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 37.783,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Dyce erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Welsh Landscape With Two Women Knitting im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 541.250,00 (€ 654.411,93).
