The price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,106.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Dyce have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Welsh Landscape With Two Women Knitting in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 654,411.93).
