In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Belgian la Grotte Du Drac, Manacor by William Degouve de Nuncques. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 127,307.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by William Degouve de Nuncques have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Belgian Reve De Voyage was auctioned for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 132,091.46).
