Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Degouve de Nuncques could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Belgian Côte Aux Baléares (Majorque, Cala San Vicente) changed hands for GBP 98,500.00 (€ 126,802.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by William Degouve de Nuncques have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work Belgian Reve De Voyage at GBP 109,250.00 (€ 132,091.46).
