Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Estuary In Devon, Possibly Torquay, With Figures And Small Boats In The Foreground And A Man-Of-War At Anchor In The Background by William Daniell was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,817.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Daniell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shivala Ghaut and Cheyt Singh's House near Benares in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 485,000.00 (€ 567,043.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Estuary In Devon, Possibly Torquay, With Figures And Small Boats In The Foreground And A Man-Of-War At Anchor In The Background von William Daniell wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert.
