The work Three works: i) The Tar Baby Versus St. Sebastian (M.R.); ii) The Longest Cocktail Party; iii) Untitled by William Cordova was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,281.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by William Cordova have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2011 the work On the lower frequencies I speak 4U was auctioned for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,903.64).
