Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Selected Images by William Christenberry was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,751.81). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Christenberry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'William Christenberry: 15 Alabama Photographs', which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,061.42).

Die Arbeit Selected Images von William Christenberry wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.751,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von William Christenberry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'William Christenberry: 15 Alabama Photographs' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.061,42) versteigert wurde.
