This artwork by William Bradford achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. In the American Art auction, the work Labrador Coast sold for USD 200,000.00 (€ 189,071.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Bradford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Bradford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midnight Sun, The Arctic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.314.353,28).
