Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Palms in Indian Canyon sight 19 1/4 x 15 in. framed 32 3/4 x 28 3/4 in. by William Alexander Griffith. The price achieved of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,112.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Alexander Griffith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Along the Laguna Coast in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 87,575.00 (€ 73,370.48).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Palms in Indian Canyon sight 19 1/4 x 15 in. framed 32 3/4 x 28 3/4 in. von William Alexander Griffith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.112,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Alexander Griffith erzielen.
