Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Low tide, Laguna Beach by William Alexander Griffith was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,781.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Alexander Griffith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Along the Laguna Coast in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 87,575.00 (€ 73,370.48).

Die Arbeit Low tide, Laguna Beach von William Alexander Griffith kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 3.781,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
