The work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Mary 'Moll' Davis, Three-Quarter-Length, Seated In A Park Landscape With A Dog On Her Lap by Willem Wissing was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,767.57), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem Wissing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Francis Thynne, Lady Worsley, full-length, in a red dress and a blue ermine-lined mantle, a domed mansion in a garden beyond in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 92,066.47).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.767,57) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Wissing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Francis Thynne, Lady Worsley, full-length, in a red dress and a blue ermine-lined mantle, a domed mansion in a garden beyond im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 92.066,47).
