This artwork by Willem Carel Nakken achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2008. In the 19th Century EuropeanArt auction, the work A Hay-Cart Entering A Courtyard In Summer sold for EUR 19,450.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Willem Carel Nakken; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Late summer: loading the hay-cart sold at auction in April 2005 with the realized price of EUR 20,400.00.

In der Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt wurde die Arbeit A Hay-Cart Entering A Courtyard In Summer für EUR 19.450,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Willem Carel Nakken; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Late summer: loading the hay-cart im April 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 20.400,00.
