In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The former Kamerbeek Collection, which included the work Donkey riders in the dunes by Willem Carel Nakken. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Carel Nakken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late summer: loading the hay-cart in April 2005 with an auction result of EUR 20,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Donkey riders in the dunes von Willem Carel Nakken zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Carel Nakken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late summer: loading the hay-cart im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.400,00.
