In November 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Willem Hussem. The auction ended at the price of EUR 6,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Hussem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,550.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Willem Hussem zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Hussem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.550,00.
