A top price for Willem Hussem
This artwork by Willem Hussem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2008. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen sold for EUR 35,550.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. This high result makes Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen the most expensive artwork by Willem Hussem that we have observed at auctions so far.
