This artwork by Willem Hussem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2015. In the Modern Art auction, the work without title sold for EUR 12,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Hussem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 35,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Hussem erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Hussem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 35.550,00 versteigert wurde.
