Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Willem Claesz. Heda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2014. In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Still Life Of Oysters, A Nautilus Cup, A Roemer, Lemon And Other Objects sold for GBP 98,500.00 (€ 124,239.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Claesz. Heda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A blackberry pie on a pewter platter, a silver-gilded cup and cover, an upturned tazza, a partly-peeled lemon, a bread roll, hazelnuts, a façon-de-Venise glass, a silver decanter, a roemer, and a knife on a pewter platter, on a partly draped table in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,842,500.00 (€ 6,1

Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Claesz. Heda erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life Of Oysters, A Nautilus Cup, A Roemer, Lemon And Other Objects für GBP 98.500,00 (€ 124.239,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Claesz. Heda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A blackberry pie on a pewter platter, a silver-gilded cup and cover, an upturned tazza, a partly-peeled lemon, a bread roll, hazelnuts, a façon-de-Venise glass, a silver decanter, a roemer, and a knife on a pewter platter, on a partly draped table im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.842.500,00 (€ 6.107.915,05).
