Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Still Life With A Gilt Cup, A Silver Tazza, Glasses And Pewter Plates With A Pie, Peeled Lemon And Nuts, All Upon A Draped Table by Willem Claesz. Heda. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 317,000.00 (€ 430,470.76). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Claesz. Heda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A blackberry pie on a pewter platter, a silver-gilded cup and cover, an upturned tazza, a partly-peeled lemon, a bread roll, hazelnuts, a façon-de-Venise glass, a silver decanter, a roemer, and a knife on a pewter platter, on a partly draped table in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,842,500.00 (€ 6,1

Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With A Gilt Cup, A Silver Tazza, Glasses And Pewter Plates With A Pie, Peeled Lemon And Nuts, All Upon A Draped Table von Willem Claesz. Heda zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 317.000,00 (€ 430.470,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Claesz. Heda erzielen.
