However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Claesz. Heda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A blackberry pie on a pewter platter, a silver-gilded cup and cover, an upturned tazza, a partly-peeled lemon, a bread roll, hazelnuts, a façon-de-Venise glass, a silver decanter, a roemer, and a knife on a pewter platter, on a partly draped table, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 4,842,500.00 (€ 6,107,91
