In the 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art auction, the work Dutch a Sunny Afternoon In Delft, The Old Church In The Distance sold for EUR 31,950.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Bastiaan Tholen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Billiards Player in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 315,655.88).

In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Dutch a Sunny Afternoon In Delft, The Old Church In The Distance für EUR 31.950,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Bastiaan Tholen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Billiards Player im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 315.655,88).
