Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, which included the work Ijsvermaak by Willem Bastiaan Tholen. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,776.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Bastiaan Tholen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Billiards Player in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 315,655.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ijsvermaak von Willem Bastiaan Tholen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.776,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Bastiaan Tholen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Billiards Player im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 315.655,88).
