The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,476.35), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Night walk, Porthmeor von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.476,35) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
