Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Abstract by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,709.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.709,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
