Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Greyhounds by Wilhelm Hunt Diederich was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. It achieved a price of USD 175,000.00 (€ 158,816.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Hunt Diederich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diana and Hound, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 391,500.00 (€ 348,433.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Greyhounds von Wilhelm Hunt Diederich kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 158.816,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Hunt Diederich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diana and Hound beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 391.500,00 (€ 348.433,61) versteigert wurde.
