Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wilhelm Hunt Diederich could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work 'Apres Midi d'un Faun' changed hands for USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,135.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm Hunt Diederich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and Hound in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 391,500.00 (€ 348,433.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Hunt Diederich konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit 'Apres Midi d'un Faun' für USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.135,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Hunt Diederich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and Hound im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 391.500,00 (€ 348.433,61).
