Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A Volendam Fisherman Smoking A Pipe by Wilhelm Gdanietz for EUR 960.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Gdanietz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Great Achievement: A Volendam Fisherman Completing A Ship Model, which sold at auction in September 2004 for EUR 2,629.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Volendam Fisherman Smoking A Pipe von Wilhelm Gdanietz für EUR 960,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Gdanietz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Great Achievement: A Volendam Fisherman Completing A Ship Model beobachtet, die im September 2004 für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert wurde.
