Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work In A Volendam Interior by Wilhelm Gdanietz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 840.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Gdanietz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Great Achievement: A Volendam Fisherman Completing A Ship Model, which sold at auction in September 2004 for EUR 2,629.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit In A Volendam Interior von Wilhelm Gdanietz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 840,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Gdanietz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Great Achievement: A Volendam Fisherman Completing A Ship Model beobachtet, die im September 2004 für EUR 2.629,00 versteigert wurde.
