Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Portrait Of Clare Collins by Wilfrid de Glehn. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,574.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfrid de Glehn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under the Willows in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 285,043.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Clare Collins von Wilfrid de Glehn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.574,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfrid de Glehn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Under the Willows im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 285.043,32).
