Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Women With Animals In A Landscape by Widayat was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 220,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 26,757.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Widayat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three Women With Animals In A Landscape von Widayat wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 220.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 26.757,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Widayat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33).
