This artwork by Widayat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) sold for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 480,000.00.
