Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Sekaten by Widayat for HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,551.02). This price was achieved in the auction Eclectic at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Widayat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sekaten von Widayat für HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.551,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Eclectic bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Widayat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33).
