Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pergi ke Pasar (Trip to the Market) by Widayat was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,497.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Widayat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pergi ke Pasar (Trip to the Market) von Widayat kam im November 2019 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.497,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Widayat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33).
