Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Adam and Eve in Paradise by Widayat was sold in the Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,000,625.00 (€ 117,828.05). Other works by Widayat have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33) in October 2015 for the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) .

Die Arbeit Adam and Eve in Paradise von Widayat wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.000.625,00 (€ 117.828,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Widayat haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33) im Oktober 2015 für die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) beobachtet.
