Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hutan Tropis by Widayat was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 320,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Widayat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) , which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hutan Tropis von Widayat kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 320.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Widayat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33) versteigert wurde.
