Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gerhana Matahari Di Hutan (Solar Eclipse In The Forest) by Widayat was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 537,500.00 (€ 60,557.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 480,000.00 – 680,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Widayat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) , which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gerhana Matahari Di Hutan (Solar Eclipse In The Forest) von Widayat kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 537.500,00 (€ 60.557,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 480.000,00 – 680.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Widayat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33) versteigert wurde.
