This artwork by Wes Lang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in May last year. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work The House of the Lord sold for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,670.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).

In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit The House of the Lord für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.670,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70).
