Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Photographie, which included the work In the Court of the Meiji Temple, Tokyo, Japan by Werner Bischof. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,500.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Werner Bischof - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Paper-Roll, Negative Et White Paper-Roll, Positive , 1938, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 8,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Court of the Meiji Temple, Tokyo, Japan von Werner Bischof zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.500,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Werner Bischof mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Paper-Roll, Negative Et White Paper-Roll, Positive , 1938 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert wurde.
