Auction result misses estimated price range

In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Vultures Of The Battlefields, Kaesong, Korea, 1952 by Werner Bischof for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,073.24). This price was achieved in the auction Aperture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Werner Bischof have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Paper-Roll, Negative Et White Paper-Roll, Positive , 1938 in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Vultures Of The Battlefields, Kaesong, Korea, 1952 von Werner Bischof für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.073,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Aperture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Werner Bischof auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Paper-Roll, Negative Et White Paper-Roll, Positive , 1938 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.750,00.
